So comcast intends to merge TechTV into G4 huh?

G4 is about as exciting to watch as a cardboard box. At least TechTV has interesting shows (Screen Savers).

They should merge G4 into TechTV not the other way around. I mean, who the hell, besides a handful of video game heads, actually knows what G4 is? I'm sure the name TechTV has way more marketing power, but hey those guys at Comcast must be smarter than me.

Another thing is G4 has a thing about making a show and repeating it every day for an entire week. So will we get to look forward to one episode of Call for Help or The Screen Savers for an entire week!? Thanks but no thanks. Everyone who gets digital cable just for TechTV can cancel it now. I got an extra room full of cardboard boxes for you. It's cheaper and has an equal entertainment value.
 
Tech Tv is pretty good I watch it every once in a great while I have never heard of G4 until recently. I still don't know what it is though.
 
This is completely stupid. Tech TV runs on SOOOOO many more stations. I haven't even HEARD of G4 until this whole thing.

Some of the people at TechTV should just abandon their shows. The cast of TSS could easily find new jobs at a place that doesn't suck.

I guess this means Unscrewed is getting cut. That show was pretty entertaining.
 
Someone on another board said they are going to let everyone from TechTV go, then only re-hire the ones they want. This true? I like the guys on TSS. 🙁

Yup. Martin Seargent is funny; the girls gone wired segment is great too.

I guess I'm the only person that likes this...I get G4 but don't get TechTV through my Comcast digital cable. I hardly ever watch G4, but if they put some TTV shows on there, I'll be watching a lot more.

The problem is these shows won't be the same. G4 will probably water them down.

They will prolly run TechTV like they did G4. "Let's make one show and air it 3 times a day for an entire week!"

Also Leo's blog said that Comcast gave everyone a 60 day notice that they'll all be fired. Those that want to relocate to LA (from San Francisco) may be able to salvage a job.

I think all the TechTV guys should say psh, and go elsewhere.

I doubt Leo will go to LA because he got his own things going on in San Francisco independent of Television.

Without Leo, I will not watch.
 
TV for gamers is such a stupid concept. We play games instead of watching tv. We've already found a better medium than watching television. Probably explains why most gamers havn't even heard of G4. The sad thing is they fired the entire staff of TechTV (if I recall reading slashdot correctly). TechTv was working with whatever dorks were watching it.
