6.4 yesterday near Ridgecrest, 7.1 (maybe downgraded to 6.9) just a bit ago, over 1000 aftershocks since the 6.4, nearly 20 m3.0+ since the bigger one tonight.
Not kidding when i say me and a friend were both watching the 1974 film" Earthquake" with Charlton Heston when i felt the rocking started for the 7.1. I looked over at her and said " you got to be kidding me seriously? " then i ran outside lol.
We are about 150 miles south of Ridgecrest and it felt like the shaking went on forever. Most earthquakes I experienced usually only last a few seconds, but this one from last night went on and on. It woke our 4yr old up and all the shaking made her think that there was something in her closet. Great!
I live in Riverside which is quite close and yeah...the whole house was moving.
We get earthquakes so often that I rarely feel them most of the time but every once in awhile I do....and my one dog always starts barking before hand. The other dog is oblivious.
I didn't feel the last few earthquakes but I was mesmerized by the pool sloshing around slowly. It was kinda crazy watching the water going back and forth slowly.
Felt the original while sitting on the commode at work here in Las Vegas. The Friday night big aftershock shook the upstairs of the condo pretty good. Were not used to earthquakes here in Vegas.
