It's like command and conquer without the base building. It focuses more on controlling individual groups of units. Multiplayer is very unique and fun. Each player command a specific unit group, including air, armor, infantry, and support. All of the groups work together to defeat the enemy.

Lost Planet is a fun shoot em up. Rather repetitive, but still fun. I think based on the other games you have, you would enjoy this the most.
STALKER is a FPS/RPG hybrid. You may not like if your not into running around collecting things like you do in most RPG games.
Bioshock is another FPS/RPG hybrid, but it's really an FPS with very few RPG elements. Mostly a shoot em up with a interesting setting and story.

Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines

You can buy it on steam now and apply one of the community updates (even with the official patches, it is buggy) after it installs.

In my top two favorite FPS / RPG hybrids, along with Deus Ex.

VTM:B also uses the HL2 engine (although an early version):)

Bioshock and Stalker are great.

The Settlers: Rise of an Empire is pretty cool too.

Dirt is much better than either of the two NFS games. If you're into racing go for that.

DiRT is quite a fun racing game. Actually I would say it is more like a blend of racing game + simulation, considering its realistic handling and physics.

It ran smoothly at 1280 x 1024 on my 8800gts 320 mb, c2d e6600 and 2gb ram.
