However if I am a Nvidia fan-boy I don't have to wait for ATI's launch right? I doubt that even if the ATI card is better it won't have much price effect on Nvidia for a while, right?

 
I personally don't care if the ATi card is better. There are other things that make up for the performance. Overclocking protection, warranty and step up to name a few.
