no, but im my limited time here, i've seen him do it to others quite a few times.

that disbelief and condescending arrogance just shows a lack of respect towards others.

1992 Maxima SE

Engine:
ASP Underdrive pully
K&N cone filter (soon to be a CAI)
WSP Performance y-pipe (yes this was a major speed boost)

Handling:
Koni Struts
Eibach Springs
Suspension Techniques Sway bars
16" BF Goodrich KDW

Left side pic
right close shot

I'm pulling around 200hp. Not too shabby, good enough to scare the hell out of the ricers. I had one guy tell me that "no maxima can be that fast" and that "you had to do a engine swap"

hehehe

I can only remember doing that once. Someone had a car that (stock) weighs over 2500lbs and is front wheel drive. He said his was making 240hp and running low 12s. That didn't seen realistic to me, so I asked him for timeslips.

Well.. Actually.. If you boost the hell out of your motor, you'll want to consider underdrive pulley's because your stock accessories aren't meant to be boosted like that. OTOH.. Putting an underdrive pulley on a relatively stock motor is somewhat questionable like what has already been mentioned.

Notfred: Do you have any dyno numbers for your Mustang?

How much boost is the car making?

Anything above 16-17psi and it's just hot air in the upper rpm ranges. Compressor is too small and inefficient...

I'm running a FWD:
1995 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS-T

Power & drivetrain:
K&N cone filter + cut dump BOV return tube
Aluminum mandrel Lower IC pipe & Upper IC pipe
Crushed 1G BOV
3" custom SS mandrel catback w/ Flowmaster 2.5" dual tip (for stock-appearing rear end)
ACT 2600 w/ Street disc

Braking & Handling:
Dual Piston factory calipers from the AWD
Slotted Brembos & SS brake lines on all corners
Rotex Gold carbon/kevlar composite pads
KYB GR-2 OE replacements on squishy stock springs
RRE strut front (upper & lower) and rear (upper only) full tubular steel strut tower bracing
RMDSM swaybars front & rear
17x7.5 Rota Battles w/ Krappo Ecsta 712s 235/45-17

I'm running the stock Boost Control Solenoid... creeps to 17-18psi in 3rd gear on the factory way-too-small T25.

I have a battery box that I need to get installed and relocate the battery to the trunk to help with car balance.

Man, those tires are great for rain and the street but I get my @$$ handed to me by people on Azenis all the time. Prolly putting in a MkIV Supra sidemount and finishing off a full turboback with O2 eliminator in the near future. Wondering how much longer my turbo will last... then time for a swap to a AGPTurbo T28. In desperate need of a Quaife LSD to go on there... open diff SUCKS.

EDIT: btw, my car supposedly weighs a little under 3000, I'm prolly making around ~230hp... no friggin way I'm going to be running 12s let alone 13s... even with friggin slicks. Mid to low 14s at best at around 100mph... wheel hop sucks.

Excuse my ignorance, but notfred, under your "Fuel" category you wrote
"Motorsport 24lb/hr injectors"

Not to sound stupid (although I will), but is that "pounds per hour"? If so, what the hell does that mean for fuel injection? Or rather, why would it be measured that way?

I have no idea why they measure in lb/hr instead of gallons/hr or something. I mean, the fuel pump is rated in liters/hour, that makes sense.

Not yet. Only got the new motor running yesterday. It made 276hp, 315ft/lb at the wheels on the old motor. New one should be a lot higher :)

hey notfred.. that's a pretty longass list of mods! sorry if i missed it, but what kind of times did you pull in with those mods, or have you not made a run yet?

i haven't raced or brought my cam to the track, but i ended up getting the rebuilt differential put in, since it was still half the price of a new one according to GMs quotation (the price I got previously didn't include rings/pinions etc). anyway, although i don't "race" per se, I do have a good laugh when i see ricers looking over at me like they want to kill me. i hear them rev their little vtec p-flow garbage, and it makes my day. :D i'll never forget my friend wasting a supposed "souped up"/"tricked out" civic with an uglyass suzuki aerio station wagon. this hot-shot in his civic thought he was all that, next to none other than vin diesel himself :)P).. and the expression on his face when a butt-ugly station wagon pulls ahead of him was priceless. :D

anyway as for mods, I don't really have any. I haven't done any mods to the car myself, but it did have an aftermarket exhaust system and manifold already. the only aesthetic mods were black window tint. the diff I had before had a gear ration of 3.58 and now has 3.42. i haven't noticed a difference in fuel economy or performance. i guess the old diff being screwed up compensated?

oh well, gotta sleep..

Dynomax muffler (for some quality sound)
Lakewood traction bars. (eliminate wheel hop)
Stall mats for a bed liner. (damned near indestructuble, very anti slip, and 150Lbs in the bed helps in the rain)
JVC MP3-CD deck.
Larger rear tires, 285/60R16 vs. 255/65R16 stock, I'm going to be putting those on the front next time and going for more wheelwell filling and a bit larger 295/65s for the rear. As a side effect it'll keep me off the top of third gear at the end of the 1/4. Though it might still slow the ET.

There'd be more, but the 4.7 has very little aftermarket parts w/ CARB EO numbers that are worth going for. The blower kits are pretty much all there is and they're about $3400.

Some old pics

Yeah, it hits pretty hard. Odd thing is, the solid lifter, non-roller cam in my old motor seemed to hit a bit harder, but this one is still pretty mean sounding.

Holy crap!
Gotta have those gears to make up for 33" tall tires.
The cam is pretty much on par with the rest of the engine. I was originally building a 540" big block, and the cam I bought for it was .775" lift :Q

I decided it was going to be too much, and traded it, unassembled for this engine that was already running minus the intake. (other guy was running alcohol injection)
Now talk about a mean sounding engine.....it made me sick to hear the 540 after he got it running. I'm probably better off though....no telling how much stuff in the drivetrain the 540 would've torn up.

89 Mustang coupe :) 5.0l 5 speed
BBK headers
Dynomax mufflers and tail pipes I guess
Some off road h-pipe
Some aftermarket shifter and clutch
3.73:1 gears
Underdrive pulleys Mine does have charging problems at idle and will run hot with the a/c on but I think that has more to do with the old stock radiator. They sucked when new.
I bought this one premodded a little and am not sure what all was done to it. Last owner didn't know squat about cars.

89 Dodge Caravan 2.5l TURBO :D
Grainger Manual boost controller currently set at 10psi
Custom made 2 1/2 inch catless exhaust that comes out right behind the drivers door
Warlock muffler with built in dump
A/F and Boost guages
ATM I am rebulding the trans and doing a few valve body mods to make it shift faster and harder and instally a Phantom Grip style LSD. While all that crap is out of the way I am also installing a probe intercooler which will let me run 15psi before I have to do something to add fuel.

Pics and crap here

And pics of my trans rebuild
