Terribly false. Frankfurt, Germany's winter solstice is 4:20pm~ (shortest day of year). Summer solstice is 9:30pm~

Boston is same for winter, but summer is only 8:15pm~.

Miami is 5:30pm for shortest, longest is same as Boston.

Some places do get more sun... I'm envious.
