I was concerned when I saw the X800XL price but then saw it came with some games. If you don't need the games you can get a cheaper one.

Looks like a very nice system.

If you haven't built a system before, heatsink installation is probably the trickiest part. Other than that it's all just screwing stuff in and inserting plugs.

Hey, are you a student? Because if you are, you can get cheap academic copies of XP and Office. Also, you might think about waiting for Windows XP 64-bit edition.

I would think about 5.1 speakers. IMO 5.1 really makes gaming better.
Other than that, it looks great. I would be wary of the shipping date for the Venice core though. Monarch already had changed that from May 6th to the 20th. I wouldn't be surprised if that gets pushed back into mid June.

seeing as you can get an x800xt aiw for less than what your paying for that x800xl, I'd asy either get the x800xt aiw or a cheaper x800xl (250-300). And yes, connect 3d is pretty good (although sapphire or built by ati would be my first choice).

connect3d as some1 has mentioned before is okay... at the end u get what u paying for...
I personally have a Connect3d 9600XT... I can only say its okay at this moment... coz im not sure whats the reason I cant run this card at agp 8x but only at 4x... ima get a new PS soon and see if PS was what caused that... but i doubt it

Everything else looks fantastic to me... also that 7 to 1 media... relle nice :p

The Klipsch.

I purchased the Klipsch ProMedia 5.1's in July 2002 and their DD/DTS decoder (from their website) and have been using them in a large room as home theatre speakers. Those babies are truly amazing - not that great for music - but great for DVD movies, particularly DTS encoded discs.
