Really can't imagine playing GTA 3 on smartphone controls. Doodle jump is about the most complicated controls I can stand on a phone.

BRILLIANT! There are FOUR different GTA 3's in the market

Grand Theft Auto III
Grand Theft Auto 3
GTA III
GTA 3

They're all the same app, same price, but 3 of them say they're not compatible with my phone lol really? This is one of the reasons I cannot stand the Market. Wonder how many sales they'll lose when somebody who doesn't realize it will work on their phone they just need to click on one of the other 3 links, I mean that makes sense right??

Then get the one that is compatible with your device.
What exactly is the problem here?

There are 4 available and 3 of them are incompatible with your device.
Duh...

Your knowledge on Android in general seems to be limited to hearsay rather than actual evidence.

Oh, and you can't download an app that's incompatible with your device on Android Market unless you do some serious hacks.

I was gonna grab this but it wont work on my vibrant, I want to play it on my transformer but I left it home. I'll probably get it tonight so I can see if it will actually work on the TF within the 15 minutes.

I have it on my iPhone 4S - runs pretty good, and I think the controls are adequate. Not fond of the driving, but I haven't give nthe accelerometer a try yet. Don't remember it running this smooth on my PC though!

Says coming soon for the Nexus, so I will wait.

On screen controls work so much better on phones with bigger screens.

So Joe Schmoe who doesn't know his Samsung Galaxy is even an Android phone is suppose to know that he should have searched for Grand Theft Auto 3 instead of GTA 3? Why would he think there's a different version of the same app that that'll be compatible with his device? Joe doesn't even know the difference between 2.1, 2.3 and ICS. My knowledge is based on the fact I searched for GTA 3 and it said it wouldn't work for my phone, yes I was smart enough to poke around and find 1 that is, but if you're implying most people will be smart enough to figure this out - I dunno what to tell you.

Why don't you just buy an iPhone? You are always complaining about some aspect of Android or another, why force yourself to use something you hate so much when there is clearly an option you would be more happy with?

Have they raised the time limit? This past week, i would buy the 10c apps, and a half hour later i couldn't uninstall without refunding my purchase. I think its more than 15 mins but i could be wrong.

Dude, really? if Joe is that dumb, he should buy an iPhone. Anyone who can read will know whether an app will work out not.

They are very clear exactly which devices are certified and which aren't. Its right on the damn Market link.

Second, if you're an English speaking person, its pretty obvious that you should buy the German or Chinese versions, isn't it?

Back on topic, apologies for the iFanatic derails.

I picked up Earth and Legends, which is pretty sweet. It does drain the Tbolt's battery, but what doesn't?

But I'm going to hold off on GTA since there's a 50/50 chance I'm going to buy my Nexus tomorrow, and a 100% chance I'll buy it before Christmas. Once official support is added, I'll pick it up.

I have an iPod Touch I use all the time, do you think my complaint here's unreasonable? It seems very valid to me *shrug*

I've never seen you say a single positive thing about Android in my time on this forum.

Compatibility lists never include every single device that a piece of software will work on. They are simply devices that the vendor has confirmed can run the software acceptably. If they did include the Evo on the list of supported devices then they would have to deal with conplaints when it lagged or had low fps.

On the continuum of fandom, Quebert falls on the iPhone side of things. But I'm pretty sure he's posted some positives about Android before. And I think he's even posted a critical thing or two about iOS. :p

QueBert rants about Android all the time . . . and yet he never just buys an iPhone either. :p He's kinda like a secretly homosexual homophobe.

Doesn't load up on my Nexus S. Just goes black after the intro credits. Hope they update it soon. I booted it up too long after the 15min to get a refund.
