I've now had my Geforce 3 for two weeks, and ever since i put it in my computer i've had stability problems. My computer reboots all the time or locks up during games. I updated all my drivers and i thought it might have something to do with heat, so i now i have a 90 mm fan blowing right across the card and two 80 mm fans blowing on the bottom of it. YET IT STILL REBOOTS. I never had a problem with my previous card (radeon 7200) and I'm sick of trying to fix things that go wrong with this graphics card.

Thanks

Did you uninstall the previous card and drivers or just "update" the drivers??? Did you install the lastest 4-in-1s if you have a via chipset???

A friend had a similar problem with his GF4 Ti. Random reboots, turned out to be the power supply not being able to supply enough power.

Hmm.. I've thought about reformatting and I actually think that will be the next step. The PSU doesn't seem as feasable to me, considering it is 300 watts and i don't believe that with the motherboard, graphics card, hdd, all on full that they would suck up 300 watts. I've gotta find that windows XP cd and see if that could fix it.

So the graphics card now reboots in ALL games. It seems to depend on the amount of time, but i haven't had a problem with it rebooting while doing 2d stuff. This would lead me to think perhaps it is just a heat issue?

You need to give your entire system specs. I don't use Nvidia, since I have had nothing but nightmares using their cards and drivers, but untill the 9700 Radeon came into the picture, everybody else seemed to love them, so I shut up. NO FLAMES HERE, PLEASE HELP THIS GUY.

Just give your system specs, and somebody can advise you afterwards.

Is it possible that your RAM on your system start to "die"?
I had a rig starting to give me random reboot, and freeze, and I trace down to the RAM problem.
