Who said anything about Gears of War? Everyone likes to pull that example out of thin air when it's irrelevant to the real problem. You want a game that defines my example? Go play Dark Souls. I'm not the game's biggest fan but it is a perfect example. No, not for the gore but for the hidden lore and all it's character design. The people who play that type of game may not exactly be sold on Pikachu anymore. Nintendo seems to forget that gamers grow up too.
