Yea, so I get back to school after a month at an internet-less part of the world (yes they do exist, specially in the KY), and I notice that several of my fav torrent sites are down. One said something about something about some problems facing torrent.

Would some catch a brother up and let me know what is going on.

Suprnova was shut down out of fear of being sued I believe...I don't think they were actually sued, but there was a lot of heat over there.

Not just suprnova, all of them. Rumors of new tech being developed, but no mention of when, if ever, they will be back.

yea, I checked out that exeem mentioned on the nova but its gonna have adaware, like kazaa (according to a slashdot article).

Dang, I knew torrent was too good to be true.

No, many are still open, & many more new sites have sprung up.

eXeem looks interesting, if they can succesfully develop an ad-free version (think eXeem-Lite ).

Hardly. There are still torrent sites around, I still use a few of them daily.
