So a lonely person IMs you all the time...

You know they're lonely and don't have many friends but they're not really your friend at all and message you everyday and are annoying.

Do you block them or do you continue to deal with the conversations?

Which IM client...some like Yahoo IM will let you select who you appear invisible too.
I think on AIM if you block someone you just always appear offline to them.

I routinely feel as though I'm the 'lonely person' in this argument. I wish people would just tell me straight up that I'm annoying if I indeed am. heh

you block them...they will make another name and see your online....they may slit their wrists

do you REALLY want that on your shoulders?

Its just an IM. Its not like they are calling you

A while back, I considered IMs to be just the same as a phone call or face-to-face conversation... I'm sure that some people are/were the same.
