I went and got some wood (firewoord) today and managed to squeeze in a 1/3 cord into my 99 Explorer. It was riding a little high in the front, and was stacked clear up to the headliner, but IT FIT!

btw, $25 for dry seasoned oak! :)

I'll never forget when I first found out how much a full cord of wood is.

I was about 13 and my dad said "don't go anywhere today, I ordered a cord of wood and I need you to help me stack it"

Of course I went ahead and made plans with my friends anyway thinking a cord of wood couldn't be that much......30 minutes later this huge ass dump truck backs up into our driveway. Ugh, I forget exactly how long it took me to stack all of that.

My family has a dodge grand caravan and if we take out the seats, which is reatlively easy, we can ship plywood and drywall...

full cord, 4x4x8 Feet

face cord, cut size, {16-20 inch} x 4 foot high x 8 foot

pickup load, if you have a Real size pickup,{8 foot box,full size width}is a little more /less than a full cord,
{depends how careful thrown/stacked}
in my 1/2 ton old 4x4 chevy,un split,stacked semi careful,just over a cord,without a cap on the back,
firewood will heat you several times,
when you dig a hole to plant the tree;
when you cut the tree down,
when you split the wood,
when you carry it to the vehicle
when you stack it to let it "season" {dry}
when you carry it to near the stove,
and then when you burn it!

then, plant a new tree, renewable heat ;)
