I paid for Norton Anti-Virus 2007 (3 Licenses) in early Jan 07. A few weeks ago my motherboard fizzed out and I replaced it with a similar 754 board. Re-activated WinXP no problem. Symantec told me there was nothing that they could do...can you believe it?? It was installed on my desktop, my wife's laptop and a Dell laptop that I used for school. If you read the EULA it says nothing re: failed hardware...thats how they see it. I am considering small claims for the remainder of the unused subscription.

Sound weird to me  I have reactivated Norton AV on my wife's laptop twice after reinstalling windows on new hard drives and then moved the same subscription to her desktop all with out a problem. maybe you just got unlucky and spoke to the wrong person, I would try the online e-mail support as I have had the best luck with it usually I have an answer in 12-24 hours. Also you could try the security forum as there is a A/T member that posts there who works for Symantec (bsobel) and he has been helpful in the past.
