Snowstorm Closes Hawaii Volcano To Tourists

A tiny bit of snow and they have to close everything down?

I guess I understand, they probably didn't know what it was and maybe thought the volcano was erupting ash.
 
it does get snow every now and then (it is a mountain), but i bet they aren't equipped to handle snowfall so its a public hazard to stay up there
its just not usually much of an accumulation
 
the big island is known for snow in the winter in the "mountains".
pretty cool. Although, thats why i like visiting in the spring
