Being a Minnesotan now living in Seattle, let me make a few things clear:
1) This is NOT a snow storm. People in the midwest don't even notice 3 inches.
2) People in Seattle already SUCK at driving. It gets 100 times worse when it snows. It's hilarious watching the idiots drive out here. Pushing the gas pedal down more when you're spinning out will NOT make you go faster.
People told me about this, but I still find it incredible. It snows TWO INCHES and everything is cancelled... back home we literally had to go to school when it snowed 2 feet overnight. People in Seattle are generally pretty wussy.
You also have a
much larger snow plow fleet to clear, de-ice, and sand the roads. This system tonight seems it caught our DOT completely off guard, so the freeways are coated in it and will freeze overnight.
Taking that into account, drivers in Seattle still suck, especially in even the slightest adverse weather.
Becaussee its not common?
We live in a mild climate?
Logic ya?
You guys are probably as bad as Californian's in the rain. And people here in Colorado in the snow. I came out here to Colorado from California. I expected people to be able to drive in snowy/icy conditions. I was wrong. Seem some stupid moronic stuff.
I also find it funny that my car does better than people in their big SUV's.
Technically, it rains more here than in California, so theoretically, we SHOULD be able to drive better in the rain, and we probably do... Now if you said snow instead of rain, then I'd probably understand.
But as for snow, I don't want to try driving my 2001 toyota corolla... I'll bus
🙂.
