Snowing in LA

Last night in Austin it stormed like a mofo (2am). This morning (7am), it was beautiful outside. Blue skies, etc.

I lived there for 20 years, and there were a few cases where nearby areas got snow.

In 1988, Granada Hills got 2 inches of snow.

Around 1992, Valencia got a few inches.

But I never did see snow in Burbank or anywhere nearer downtown LA during that time; though LA has seen temps in the low 20's on rare occasion. I'm sure they've had snow previously... but it's definitely a very, very rare event.

One of the biggest snowfalls I've ever been in was in the Antelope Valley - Lancaster, in the Northeast corner od LA county.

We had an accumulation of 24" on the ground in a 14 hour long storm.

They don't have diddly in the way of snow removal equipment - Bo don't do snow.
(Sneaky reference to Bo Diddly)
So you're stuck until it melts or evaporates.

Although extremely rare, it has happened before, so it may happen again. Anyways, I would be really happy to see it snow here in walnut(right next to Diamond Bar that DanTMWTMP pointed out)

It's snowing up here in the valleys of Northern California...hopefully it will be white here in the Ukiah Valley tomorrow morning!

We had quite a bit of hail in some areas of San Diego yesterday. Looked kind of like snow. White pellets of ice maybe an inch or two thick in areas.
