So far ive been looking at the Drake F-60's... and i dont know what else... maybe some Technines or Rides...

anyone know where to get the F-60's online?

and the hard decision here are the boots... i cant decide... either Salomon Dialogue or some Northwave (something) Freedom maybe?

what do you guys think? about the boots? bindings? any advice/help greatly appreciated :) ::cheers::

In a related question, does any manufacturer make snowboard boots in size 16? If not can I snowboard with normal boots?

size 16 is possible... but not common... extremely RARE... and you will have to most likely have a custom made board (EXTRA EXTRA WIDE) and also risers... so that when you carve your toes dont kick into the snow...i do not know of any size 16 boots.. but you can look around

I'm checking out the Drake bindings here.....man the Limited is $299!

F-60's seem to get pretty good reviews except they're not stiff enough for heavier riders.

I have the new Drake F60's on my Never Summer Premier T5 from last season. Very nice bindings, except this past weekend I did have some trouble with them. Ice/snow got into the toe ratchet and made it troublesome to get it engaged securely. Freaked me out for a bit since I've only riden on them 6 days so far.

I also have this seasons Salomon Malamutes and they are very nice boots. I love the lacing system they use.

I have a few links at home (now at work) for snowboard shops. If you want, I'll post/PM them when I get home in a few hours.

I dunno. I looked at all the Drake Bindings, but I couldn't see the justification in the increase in price over the F60's. Maybe if I used the bindings I would, but not from their website.

The F60's are good for me. And I'm 6'1" and 225 pounds size 11.5 boot.

Drake Matrix 4 me- they rock!!:D

And northwave boots- you are heading in the right direction. Both drake bindings and northwave boots recieve my hightest recomendation. I once broke a strap on a pair of f-40 drakes and they sent me a whole new set for free! Great customer service from drake!

Are step-ins a bad idea? I really would like the convenience but I don't want to sacrifice control. Sh!t, it will be just be nice to have some new equipment finally this year.
