i have a 4-cycle engine, air-cooled snowblower. i need to add oil to it as it is running a little low. the owner's manual specifies 5w30 or 10w or 0w30. are these regular motor oil types that i can get at an automotive parts store or a typical gas station?

sorry for such a noobish question but i'm really ignorants about small engines(and regular engines as well).

also, not knowing what is currently in there, can i just add whatever oil i get or do i have to drain the oil that is currently in there?

thanks for any help you can give me.

CHANGE it to some nice, new, 5w30 from Walmart and be done with it. Use whatever your car uses, if that's easier for ya.

by change you mean drain the old and fill up with new 5w30 right?
