This is actually the first Kristen Stewart movie I've ever seen. This movie is basically the shitty band evanescence for two hours of overwrought medieval seriousness. I really hate the direction Hollywood has taken. It's like every movie is now slick, brooding, and violent, with like the same "epic" notes being hit in every single movie.

I felt like it could have been a LOT better than it was. It had great casting & awesome special effects, but the story was pretty meh.

That part where the dude was hallucinating in the forest & his fingers started dripping off tho...

It was overwrought, but I wouldn't call it bad.

I think they did a better job with the first season of Once Upon a Time on TV. I did like the different take on Snow White for the Huntsman movie (I think they made a second one recently too?), but the story was kind of sparse & a bit unfocused. Like, either make it a personal story OR make it epic, but trying to do both didn't really work in this case.

THis film was miscast. Felicity Jones would have been compelling instead of Stewart. Charlize Theron doesn't do the evil queen thing that well. I dunno, Leslie Jones would have been awesome in it.

Like, this movie should have had more camp moments, but thanks to digital cgi they can do everything to boring perfection.
