Started snowing early this morning in the northeast, and all that piddly stuff that the south got is hitting us harder than they said it would. Last I checked we're up to 4 inches or so, and it's going a bit harder than it was earlier. Kind of a sleet/snow thing going on, although it's slowly turning to just big flakes of soft snow.
I was bored so I took my A95 out on a tripod to get some pictures, hopefully to give you an idea of how big the flakes are.
Neighbor's house/barn
Same pic but zoomed in at 3x
Front yard/road
These were all taken at full resolution (5MP) then resized in Photoworks, as well as touched up with auto-contrast. Basically had the shutter set at 1/200 except for the second one which because of the zoom was set at 1/500. You can see how big the flakes are, and it's coming down fairly hard, so by tonight we should have another 3 or 4 inches if it keeps up. Just in time for me to go to work
