I have to praise the snow pusher I just used for the first time. This thing is incredible - it's made of a nearly indestructible polyethylene, which won't chip or wear unevenly unlike metal or metal-stripped shovels. In fact, the more you use it the sharper it gets, and it can also be used to break up ice.

We got ~3" of snow overnight and I was able to do my whole driveway faster than if I used my snowblower, or roughly the same speed, and it got right down to the surface without leaving a single flake of snow. It's not very heavy, but it stays planted on the ground very well, so using it was easy.

The downside is it's not meant for shoveling, though you can still sort of heave the snow away if you really want to. I have an aluminum shovel which I use to clear the snow piled up around the driveway.

I got the 24" model, but I'm considering picking up the 36" model for lighter snowfalls. I'm never going back to those crappy plastic shovels with the metal strips again.

If you live in a snowy area, get one. You won't regret it for a second.

It's always seemed strange to me, you can live in a place that's freezing, or you can live in a place that's warm. Why is it even a question?

Cause many live in a place that's stupid cold and stupid hot in the same year.

Insane, imo.

Hard to believe everyone doesn't live in Finland. If I were smart, that's where I'd go.

Been living in the Northeast all my life but I never had a snow pusher until now. Those scoopers look cool, and a co-worker recommended them to me, but part of my driveway is steep and I can't see them working on a hill.

For the record, I enjoy the cold. I'll take a 30F (heck, maybe even a 20F) day over 90F with 90% humidity any day of the week.

Plus, snowboarding is really fun.

Eeeewwww...fuck that.

I live in a ace that rarely hit 80F in the summer...and just as rarely drops below freezing in the winter. (but we got ~4"of snow this year.)
