Yea.. maybe the final build is a bit better, but I had something on my system which caused my iTunesSyncController to get all screwed up. Not sure what the offending app was... but I just find it better to get as close to stock as possible, just in case of things like that.
 
They haven't used the name Federal Express in years.

Who'd you order from? I ordered from Amazon.com... they didn't offer release day delivery, so I'll probably get mine next Monday or Tuesday. Though I think I've actually gotten Amazon Prime packages on Saturday before... I'm not getting my hopes up though.

I ordered from apple on monday, and according to the order status, they still haven't shipped.

So much for their friday guarantee. But then again, they just might not have updated it.
 
Ordered mine from Apple on Tuesday .. got Shipping Confirmation yesterday for Standard Overnight via Fedex. Box is sitting in my garage as I am typing this.
 
I ordered Tuesday I think. I have received no email beyond the initial order confirmation. It hadn't come by the time I left this morning and I won't be able to check until this evening.

My online order status still displays "Not Shipped" on the apple website...

I only paid 10 bucks, perhaps they give the up-to-date people lower priority.

i think the UTD thing is random...i know a few people who ordered it the day it came out who wont get it shipped today, but i do know a few people who ordered on tuesday/wednesday that are getting it shipped/delivered today.

Bummer ... When you ordered through Apple, it said that you needed a sig for anything that wasn't shipped via postal. There was also another note when you got the shipping shipping confirmation that stated you needed a signature or to leave a release form taped to the door.

All shipments except those delivered by the U.S. Postal Service require a signature on delivery. However, we offer an easy way to sign for your package even if you can't be present. Click here for details.

Tracking information may not be immediately available. U.S. Postal Service and other carriers may not provide tracking information. If you have questions about this shipment, please read Frequently Asked Questions about shipping."

Think of it this way .. at least you can let everyone else find the bugs over the weekend and save yourself some hair pulling 🙂

nah .. I knew you didn't that's why I posted it for you 🙂 .... I've been in your shoes one too many times, so I just assume that everything I order from anywhere requires a signature. I've got a generic release form I made copies of that I tape to the door now ... "Dear Fedex, UPS, DHL etc .. leave the box in the garage, Sincerely ME!"

Must admit I'm anxious to check it out.
 
I thought I was going to get it by USPS but instead Apple sent it FedEx Overnight Delivery. Thats awful nice of them. Sucks for those who won't get their copy today (I ordered it on Monday).

those people need to get a life. while I'm anxious to check it out, by no means does it mean that much to me. People really have some pretty messed up values and priorities ... I dunno ... maybe this 'generation' doesn't get the fact that there was a time before cell phones and computers where you actually did some things with your life .. like socialize. Don't get me wrong .. I love the techie toys too .. but by no means would I go as far as some of these people seem to go and let it get my panties in a bunch ... they're getting pissed over something they have no control over ... and all they're doing is getting themselves worked up .. over snow leopard .. wow.

Yeah... $13 CAD for me.

I could have gone down to the apple store and got it myself today.

Maybe I'll download it or something if I'm bored tonight.

I'm impressed, a live person from Fedex just called and left me a voicemail telling me I could pick up my package at the depot until 9:00 tonight.

all's well that ends well 🙂 ... good luck. Just finished my install. I did an erase and install via disk utility. 10.6 installed in a jiffy and then I used my time machine backup to bring back all my apps and settings ... so far so good. Only a couple apps needed updating .. 1password .. xslimmer ... little snitch. everything else seems to work just fine. time will tell i guess.
 
The retail Snow Leopard Update Disc will work with Hackintosh, right? Just want to make sure I don't need to wait for the 2010 Mac Box Set. (Already have iLife & iWork '09 from last year's Box Set)
