Anyone else have their new years plans scrubbed for snow? Apparently the snow from the Colorado area is shifting our way. I'm in Minnesota and the roads are getting pretty crappy here, between that and the drunk drivers, I decided to call it a night around 8.

w00t. You get our snow now!

It was pretty much clear and sunny here today. Although that has started melting a lot of the snow which, now that the sun is down and it's 12° (0° w/ wind chill) there is ice all over the roads and parking lots and stuff.

We got enough to stick to the grass, but not the road or even the sidewalk (mid Kansas).

Dude you don't get snow there. What like once every 15 years and it stays for like 10 minutes?

We finally got some snow here. It was cold (right about freezing or below all day) and had been rainy but the roads are actually clear and everything. I'm in Northeast Kansas.

6-8 inches here in north-central SD. Was planning on staying in and going to bed early, so nothing is ruined for me :)

Yeah, same here. We got several inches in Minneapolis, and my Turanza LS-Vs really suck in the snow, so I am relaxing at home with a few drinks.

I want some snow in Ohio, dammit. Mother nature owes a blizzard, after throwing this crap weather at us at Christmas time.

Minneapolis, something like 5-6 inches, I think. Driving was doable, although not fun.

Gargh, I was looking forward to a nice day, instead I got a few inches of snow and had to shovel. Decided to treat myself to some new boots, at least.

What is this SNOW of which so many of you speak? If it's so terrible, why do you live in places where you have to deal with it??

Kahleeforneeya sunshine FTW! (

(It was in the upper 50's here today...too fvcking cold!) ;)

Yeah, OK, I remember that nasty white stuff...several wintters in the Rockies, including Colorado, Wyoming, Idaho, eastern Nevada, and Utah...PLUS many winters in eastern Washington and western Mass. Youse can keep it...I LOVE not having to shovel my driveway and sidewalk, (and you KNOW, as soon as you get the driveway shoveled out, the fvcker in the city/county snowplow is gonna come along ans plow it shut again...this time with huge chunks of ice and frozen slush...and chains? heh-heh...I have 4 sets...all collecting rust, instead of being mandatory winter equipment...
