What's amusing is that boomerang has called snopes 'biased' and 'discredited' yet when it tells him things that he likes he cites it.

It's almost as if boomerang judges a source as credible or not based on if it's telling him what he wants to hear. lol.
Not so much amusing as par for the course for every conservative

Can someone show me on a map where the US's money tree is?
Thanks.
Hint: It is marked "CHINA".

One thing that seems to be being missed is that the Secret Service has plenty of money. The problem is that there are mandatory total compensation caps are being hit because of the number of protectees (way more than Obama who held the record), the total number of vacation days (again, way more than Obama, though W had him beat there), and the almost exclusive use of resorts (most of which are owned by Trump) rather than Camp David or even Bush's Crawford ranch, both of which had permanent security details. Trump is an absolute asshole for not using Camp David since it allows the Secret Service protection details to spend some time at home. But unfortunately, Trump cannot be shamed into doing the right thing.

My own solution is Free Shot Friday . . .

China is currently a net seller of US bonds, meaning they are not financing anything. But yes, other than that you're totally right.

These mandatory compensation caps are stupid. If people are doing the work, they should be paid. If they can't hire enough qualified people for the work then they probably aren't being paid enough. This is ridiculous, considering their job is to protect the most important person on the planet.

That wall isn't going to pay for itself! Neither is the investigation into 3 million illegal voters!

As usual, you and wikipedia are the bigliest experts, without question.

America again owes more money to China than any other nation.
China's vast holdings of U.S. government debt jumped $44 billion to $1.15 trillion in June, according to U.S. Treasury Department data. That took China above Japan, which offloaded $21 billion in U.S. bonds in the month.

Japan had held the position of Uncle Sam's biggest creditor for the previous eight months, but Beijing's renewed appetite for U.S. debt has brought it back to the top.

China was dumping U.S. Treasuries in 2016 so that it could buy its own currency -- the yuan -- to counter downward pressure caused by a huge outflow of cash from its economy.

Since early this year, however, its holdings of U.S. debt have steadily ticked up.

EDIT: I have mixed feelings about mandatory salary caps. On one hand, they are a knee jerk reaction, and those are seldom the smartest solution. On the other hand, I'd much prefer more highly trained agents to having the ones we have worn out, dog tired and missing their families. On the other hand, protective agents at that level take years to train up. On the other hand, we aren't likely to soon have another President requiring the resources that Trump (oops, Freudian slip Rump) demands. One needs a lot of hands to hold Trump's awesomeness.

Free Shot Friday. It's a good, sound business solution.

Net sellers relates to who is financing now, not who financed in the past.

The SS has never had to protect an ego this large before.:D
They've never had to protect someone from so many threats before either. Every left-wing, Socialist, Communist, Anarchist, liberal, racist and activist group has been making real world, real time threats against him and his extended family. Up to and including sitting Democratic politicians. No wonder the Secret Service is burning through money.
