I would have to say Garfeild by a small margin over Hobbes. I only say this because Hobbes requires Calvin while Garfeild can stand on his own. Snoopy doesn't even come close.

I used to like Garfield more, but all the new comic strips of his are lame. The fat and lazy jokes are getting really old. Hobbes isn't technically a pet, but he was still way cooler than Snoopy or Garfield.
