At first, the charge sounds outrageous but after reading the whole article this guy needs to go to jail.
Obviously the district attorney is trying to nail him. I hope they get him

Hey, thought you knew. Never ask Dave a real question or he will dodge it or change the topic since he doesn't have the brain capacity to form a response.

Doesn't the DA know that rich people don't go to jail? Although he's black, so that might cancel out the rich...

Disarming good guys does in no way prevent hijackers from taking over a plane. Its wishful thinking but impossible. If someone wants to get something on the plane they will be able to do it with little difficulty, you'll just be less able to defend yourself from them. Although you will get the warm and fuzzies from thinking you're safer.

well it was at an airport. if it had not been in his carrying but in his luggage then it would have been fine. after 9/11 when hijackers took over a plane with dangerous weapons, the govt banned dangerous weapons from going onto planes to prevent hijackings....but if you want hijackings then go and try to persuade the govt

Yeah, like Snoop Dog is going to crash his multi-million dollar ass into a building...riiiight. Personally, I think this could have been handled a lot better. Excuse me, Mr. Dog, we spotted an object in your bag that you cannot bring on the plane. I'm sure you just forgot that it was in there so we'll just have to confiscate it and you can go on your flight.

That's how I would have handled it.

We have blithering idiots running this country...

Screeners should use some common sense is all I'm saying.

A few years ago I took a carry on bag on a flight that happened to be a bag I also use when I go to the shooting range through airport security. I had a loaded clip in the bag that I didn't realize was in there and airport security found it. Thankfully, this was pre-9/11 and they just told me I couldn't bring it on the plane so they held it and let my wife pick it up on her way back from the gate.

Besides, have we arrested a single terrorist trying to board a domestic flight since 9/11 because of carry on baggage screening?

I rest my case.

Wait, are you seriously implicating that Snoop might be a terrorist? OMFG...I HATE his music (is it even music?), but he's the last guy I'd suspect to be a terrorist. Hell, I'd WANT to be with him during a terrorist attack.
