Freakin' weather broadcasters can't even give a straight answer. They always overpredict so people don't get pissed off at them.

What question did you ask them?

i dont mind the snow so much, its just a day or two after when the temp drops and all the snow has frozen over that it becomes terrible. I hate winter :(

i've heard everything from a half-inch to a full foot here in the Eastern panhandle of WV. I'll believe it when I see it, they called 4-6" inches for last Sunday, and we only got a light dusting. :disgust:

edit: weather.com says 4-7"

any guess as to who is correct - in Southeast MI

I don't care how much we get as long as it's enough to suspend alternate side parking again. (NYC)

So far we're supposed to get 4-8" or more, or less. They don't know.

Speaking of which, I wish I lived in my own house so I could put up my own personal weather station. BJ's was selling a whole bunch of them in the $100 range. Make a nice holiday gift.

Wag, whereabouts are you? In the Worcester area we were supposed to get 6-8in on Tuesday... and got nothing. Now we are again supposed to get 4-6in tomorrow... we'll see. Personally I'm looking forward to it--my tech support job allows me to work from home, and the snow gives my winter beater (Blazer 4x4) something to frolic in

Framingham area.

I have a '06 AWD Subaru Impreza so I should do a little better this year in the snow.:D

This time yesterday, they were predicting 6-10 inches (central Kentucky). Today, there's about 1/8" of sleet on the ground and the forecasts have been lowered to "maybe an inch".

This is why I have no respect for meteorologists. If predicting precipitation is an intractible problem, just admit it and move on. Why not just look into the camera and say "Folks, I don't know what the hell it's going to do. It might snow. It might not. Any prediction would be no better than reading tea leaves so I won't waste your time."

8-10" in central PA. I suppose this will start a vicious cycle of bad storms.

Same here. They're only calling for 2-4 inches, but last Sunday they said 4-6 inches like there was no doubt about it. Didn't see a single flake.

Oh, and I love snow. Enough of it either gets me out of work or lets me sleep in an hour or two later.
