SNL Skit on the VP Debate

I was just wondering if anyone happened to watch this skit and what your thoughts were. I know it will not be long before both camps start bashing SNL.

I thought that this one was the best skit yet and cannot wait to see what they come up with next.

I saw it last night and it was the best by far that I've seen. Funny as hell! :laugh:

(note: I have not watch SNL in 10 years and just happened to flip through that channel last night and watched only that skit. It was great and Fey looks and sounds identical to Palin)

I thought is was great satire-everyone got skewed. Maybe even funnier than the one where Fey just read Palin's actual words, because they did a great job on Biden and the moderator too.

Maybe SNL is getting watchable again. To tell the truth (and probably date myself) I haven't watched it steadily since Ford was President. Prior to this year the last time I watched it was the Bush-Kerry debate, which they did a horrible job on.

snl will never be as good as it was the first couple of years - like most tv shows. Seems that any show that's any good is micromanaged/diluted until it sucks.

Now, sometimes it's better than the other stuff on tv.

SNL is cleaning up this election season - Governor Palin has been a gift to them considering Ms. Fey's likeness to her.

Pretty funny stuff - and for those who are queuing up their whining about how Governor Palin is being mauled by the press, be honest with yourselves. She's a pretty comical character even without the added sarcasm. Who winks at the camera and does shout outs during a VP debate?

True... But the political stuff and the weekend updates are still consistently funny. other than that, tehy usually have one or 2 great skits per month, along with several dozen horrible ones. The good parts are really good though.

I agree with Engineer. Sheer genius! The writing was fabulous. Fey's Palin was brilliant yet again. These skits have got to be killing the Republicans.

The SNL skit was indeed funny. I especially liked the part where Biden kept saying he loved McCain, but McCain is a raving lunatic. LOL

Hilarious, they've been nailing it all year.

I don't know how anyone can say SNL hasn't been funny in 30 years. There is tons of classic shit. Granted you have to wade thru a lot of flops, but not every hit can be a homer.

=> Dick in a box, Chronicals of Narnia, Natalie Portman Rap, Will Farrel as Bush (prophetic at times, scary) WF as Alex Trebec on Jeopardy, etc etc; Chris Farley (van down by the river, etc) Mike Meyers; Wayne's world, Scottish, "Veklempt," Little Simon does "drarwings", Deiter; Phil Hartman (long list); Darrel Hammond (Clinton, Chris Mathews, Trump, etc); Dana Carvey: churchlady, Bush Sr, Perot; Toonsis the driving Cat.
