Sniper: Ghost Warrior

Looks to be an interesting FPS type game that puts you primarily in the role of a sniper. It's got sniper vrs sniper missions to assault. 'Bullet cam' and almost sounds like a simulator with realistic ballistics and you being able to manage your breathing. I didn't see any mention of MP though.

Anyone else know something about this game?

I guess it does have MP, Gamespot has a trailer http://www.gamespot.com/pc/action/sniperghostwarrior/index.html along with some pretty bloody head shots 🙂

yeah, it's the Chrome engine. saw this on Steam earlier today. Looks interesting, but I won't buy until I at least see some reviews or play a demo.

Yeah, I am interested in a demo as well. If the stealth elements occupy enough of your time, this might stay interesting. If the game is more focused on camping out and just shooting a few people, I think it would get old real fast.

Some people are excited for this game not to play it but hopefully to draw away some of the kiddies who always play snipers in BC2.

Looks interesting but I hope it's not a real cheesy budget sniper game like some that were released (it is only $30). Great graphics though.

The trailer doesn't make it seem like a very serious sniper game, though it sounds like they are going to have fairly involved ballistics. It's just the trailer has the guy freaking standing makes these shots all quite rapidly.

And I hope they don't have a 5.56 rifle making 1000 yard shots, instead having a few different sniper rifles available, depending on mission. ex: One super long range kill (like cell leader dude): .338 or .50 rifle. Clear compound of a dozen dudes from medium range: DMR type weapon with lower recoil and suppressor.

I would have preordered it already but they don't have a preorder discount. Without that I'll probably just wait until it's 75% off next Christmas or the one after. I've got enough pc games that I haven't played yet to last me at least that long.

looks kinda interesting actually. i thought it would be a real borefest, but the MP looks like it could be pretty damn fun!
