Sniff - Just sold the best vehicle I ever owned

I bought him new in August of 1998. A Jeep Cherokee 2 door. I wanted a 2 door 5 speed with most options, and it was an absolute ah heck to find... lots of 4 door autos, a few 2 door autos but virtually no 5 speeds.. and the ones I found were 4 cylinder strippers that wouldn't fit the bill. Finally, after a few weeks of looking, I found it.

6 years later + a few weeks, time for it to go. I have taken good care of Max (as he was named) and he never let me down. I changed his oil every couple months and washed and waxed him religiously to keep the body in good shape. He never let me down or cost me a friggen cent other than routine maintenance. I'll miss him. I hope my new Chev is 1/2 the truck he was. His new owner got a darn good vehicle and I'll miss it. I'd have kept him another 6 years if it wasn't that he was a little too small for my needs. Too bad they don't make the Cherokee anymore, or in a few years I'd consider buying a new one. No way in hell would I buy a Liberty. It wouldn't hold a candle to this great vehicle.

No. Not at all. They all are slightly lower on the a$$ end wheel wells than the front. I did have a full load of full load of fuel at the time though, and it's a good size tank.

It's not supposed to sag in the ass end. The ass is supposed to be as high if not higher than the front. The space between the top of the tire and the bottom of the wheel well should be greater if not equal in the back than it is in the front.

That truck/SUV is made for hauling things, not sagging like an old lady.

Maybe, but brand new from the lot the space in the wheel wells in the back<front. May be a bit more sag from new due to some wear/age and the load of fuel, but if you see any of them you'll notice they're all like that.

Trust me, I know my jeeps well. If they are the same, the suspension has been worked.

For those that think the a$$ end sags excessively, here is a BROCHURE PIC and while the angle isn't the best, you can see even from new the back is a bit lower than the front. Considering mine was filled the the brim with a few hundred pounds of fuel, it's close enough considering its 6 years old and they're not new springs in the back anymore.

I always get that "feeling" when I sell a car that's been good to me. Then there's the feeling that you get when you sell a lemon...Whoo Hoo!

Well, Just got back from delivering it to the new owner.. Unfortunately, the weather sucked so it was pretty dirty by the time I got it to him but he was very happy.

Bought it sight unseen (other than my pics). It was sad to see it go. At least its in good hands... or that's what I tell myself anyhow. Seemed like a nice guy. He wanted to see how I kept the engine and when I showed it to him (and how clean it was) he was "Yep - that's how I can tell how good of shape it's in is by how clean you keep it under the hood." The primo body shape and interior was just gravy for him.

whoa I didnt even know they MADE 2 door models 😕. Nicely maintained though! Would think it was new if they still made em and you didnt tell me!

dude, you bought an avalanche? Dont go around calling that thing a truck.
If I can put a pallet with a gearbox in the back of it that weighs almost 2000lbs and carry it almost 400 miles, I'll call it a truck.. whether you agree with me or not I don't give a rats a$$.
