I had dental work this morning and I can't have any solid food, but those snickers bars look incredibly tempting.

Which would work better, melting them (and then removing the nuts, I suppose) or put them thru the blender?

UPDATE: nope, not melting - one big burnt mess, and the chocolate part didn't melt - I bet they put some chemical in it so it survives shipping and store shelves.

I can't have the nut parts because they'll get stuck in the stitches, or something.

UPDATE UPDATE: the blender works! At first it turns into this gluey something glob. Wife to the rescue, add milk (her suggestion), whirl some more. Success!

No pics :( because I'm too sick to get the stupid camera working. Maybe later . . .

when you melt chocolate you should use a double boiler

a microwave will work as well since you can not get a tempeature over 212 degrees.

I would have to disagree. The nougat in snickers is much different than milky way.

That's definately not true.

A microwave is one of the few places water can easily 'superheat'.

You can easily turn sugar(or that snickers bar..) into carbon in a microwave... melt non-microwavable plastic, etc... all of which takes more than 212F...

Mix up some frapp and put a snikers bar in the blender. YUM!

You can also put some ice cream in with it!
