I've been buying Skechers for the past few years because they are one of the few companies that make shoes that fit my feet and feel comfortable. Plus they have some nice styles. I wear size 13 wide.

Anyway, these sneakers never seem to last long so what other brands are out there that make the large, wide sneaker but last a long time? The rubber always seems to break away from the leather or whatever the shoe is made out of.

I hear New Balance is prety good for that size but what about quality?

I wear New Balance for running, the gym, and casual wear (3 different pairs). I have been wearing NBs for years, have always loved them, and never had any quality issues (not bad considering I'm pretty rough on shoes).

I am only a size 11.5 - 12 but I think NB would serve you well.

New Balance FTW- I'm a 13EEEE and those are pretty much all I can wear unless I get something custom made...like any other shoe if you take care of them they will last forever...

Skechers are the most comfortable out there.

I've never had quality issues with any athletic shoes I've worn, whether they are Nike, Reebok, Adidas, or New Balance.

man, the people who design sneakers need to be shot. why does everything have to be blinged or riced out?

just give me a simple 2 tone black/white, black/blue, black/gray, or similar variation of color. i don't need bright red, orange, blue, green, etc.

Heh.. it's interesting to watch styles. I remember a few years back when all the shoes were about 50% black/white, and had all kinds of crazy zig zag designs on them. Now it seems neon has made a return, and I imagine at some point velcro will come back too.

You answered your own question, NB for the win. I used to wear VANS, Globe, ETNIES, Airwalk

I remember in High school if you owned a pair of airwalks you were black listed from any party or social event. I have to say Globe was the most comfortable.
My list goes like this NB for when I play tennis, NB for when I go running, Johnston and Murphy for special occasions, Globe for everything else ex(walking, jeans day, etc)

I wear Saucony for running and I love them. But I don't know about different widths, my feet are "regular".
