You probably have but didn't know it. They did that "6 feet underground" song years back that was played everywhere alternative, and was used in tons of movies and commercials.

tool
sneaker pimps

i wont talk about the others.... 🙂

edit: why not just download some stuff and see what you like? then go buy the albums

Dude! I agree...Helmet is the sh*T! If you think so than i beleive the Sneaker Pimps will bring you to a place that you thought was dead.

Sneaker Pimps rocked. Dont know if they do anymore.

Off the top of my head I recall I really liked:

Low Place like home
6 underground
Spin Spin Sugar
Post Modern sleaze
Roll On

off Becoming X I believe.

I prefer their first album by far and away the most, largely because they still had a female (Kelli Dayton) vocalist, who has a fantastic voice 😛

The next albums are done by someone else in the group, and while there are a few standout songs (try Blacksheep), I just can't get into them as much.

Great band though.

Yeah, I only own/have heard the first album. I might have to break it out, I dunno if I've even ripped that one to my HD yet.

I found that too... her voice (she changed her name, didn't she?) was really eclectic... Having the guy sing (damned if I can remember his name, but he was an original bandmate), made songds like Spin Spin Sugar, and Wasted Early Sunday Morning just not sound right...

It was like hearing Metallica doing Whiskey in the Jar... made my ears bleed...

Anyone know what she went on to do?
I think her name was Sky something or other... but then I might be thinking of Morcheeba.

If you're talking about the female vocal from Sneaker Pimps, she changed her stage name to Kelli Ali. She has an album out called "Tigermouth". You probably like it if you are into Sneaker Pimps. The old and new Sneaker Pimps are total different bands ever since Kelli Dayton's departure from the group.

Yeah, I just spent a few minutes finding that out. I'll have to check it out when I get home. She's apparently got a newer one out called Psychic Cat.

They're alright, I prefer Portishead though.
I would have to agree. If you like Sneaker Pimps, you should like Portishead as well. Check out Dummy. It's an amazing album.

Becoming X is one of my all time favourite albums, I recently got a hold of the remixed version of the album and it is very trippy, well worth trying to find.
