If Intel doesn't sell six cores below $500, that gives incredible pricing freedom to AMD's eight cores (given higher IPC than Phenom and high clockspeeds).

Also - first Ivy Bridge to be quad-core? When will we see 8+ core desktop chips from Intel?

After seeing that the top-end Sandy Bridge-E is going to be a 6-core I think that Bulldozer will destroy it in price/performance and possibly raw performance.
Also, I believe that this should be on CPUs and Overclocking.

Yeah youre right it should not be posted under Motherboards but under CPUs and OVerclocking. Just realized that after i posted it
