I didn't like Layer Cake so much because of the sort of double twist at the end. And Sexy Beast is great.

Memento, The Prestige, and The Villiage. ("Big Twist" gimmick movies). And don't hate on The Villiage just because it was M.Knight... it's easy to call them all "bad" because of his typical twists that are shared with some of his poor films (Signs, Lady in the Water, The Happening, etc) but he's kind of the definitive "hit and miss" director that should be considiered, along with The Sixth Sense, a "hit."

Yeah, technically, The Prestige was the "unbelievable" absense of a trick/twist, but that still counts (unexpected).

Taken, any Bourne, and...unfortunately I cannot think of a proper third that can fit with those two...although hopefully Taken is a sign that movie goers aren't done with the experience.

Just watched Boondock Saints on recommendation from one of the above posters... Not bad.. a little cheesy but overall decent flick.

I like Boondock Saints, really I do, but Lock/Stock and Snatch are far and away better films than B.S. could ever dream.

Dammit, I was going to say Sexy Beast!

Revolver is good.

Layer Cake doesn't fit because it's not a Guy Ritchie flick. Not that it's a bad movie or anything, I actually liked it a lot.

Sexy Beast, Bank Job on my list. Too bad Netflix doesnt have them streaming.

Revolver got 15% on RT. Can someone else attest to the validity of this movie being good?

The gatsbian twist at the end is what made the movie so great. And they left it up to the viewer to decide what happens to Mr. X

Negative. Revolver is unmitigated shit. It's one of the worst films I've seen in years. I believe Roger Ebert, who I like and trust, gave it one half of a star.

Hey, I said it first! I really like the Guy Ritchie capers, but Sexy Beast is a much more inventive film IMO.

I love snatch, and the movie was pretty good too. Layer Cake was my favorite of the OP's three. Haven't seen rocknrolla or sexy beast yet.

Snatch is my favorite movie overall.

I cant think of any other trilogies that arent official trilogies.

Tarantinos movies are all kind of connected.
The Alabama referenced in Resovior Dogs is supposed to be the same Alabama in True Love. And of course there are the Vega brothers in Resovior Dogs and Pulp Fiction.

Hmm, none of these are anything like what the OP posted, though they are 1,000,000x better.

I did enjoy Layer Cake, though. Only saw bits and pieces of Snatch, and gave up on Lock Stock. Just didn't give a shit.

You mean True Romance.

I actually liked that way more than Reservoir Dogs (Walken/Oldman ftmfw--not to mention the greatest role Brad Pitt has ever played) even though I've seen RD eleventy billion times. Been a while though and I feel I have built a severe antipathy towards that movie, even though I really like Tarantino.
