Anyone going to see it? Anyone already seen it? I'm not sure if I want to see it, looks a bit cheesy. But as they say, can't judge a book by its cover.
 
there should be an official thread or something... If they didn't do anything else then they at least got the marketing part right.
 
I just got back from seeing it. Pretty amusing, though at least as cheesy as you were expecting. More gruesome/attempts at stirring emotion than I would have expected. It is a good time; but not a good movie.

It was worth my 7.50 to see it with a few friends.
 
It was amazing. They took every movie cliche, added a few more, and squeezed it into something terribly awesome. Samuel Jackson fighting snakes on a plane. There are 9 things right with that sentence and only 7 words.

Edit: Samuel L. Jackson actually says "I've had it with these motherfvcking snakes on this motherfvcking plane!" It is the second most awesome moment in the movie. The most awesome is when a guy is taking a leak in the bathroom, and a snake comes out of the toilet and latches onto his wang, and he shouts "FVCKING SNAKE! GET OFF MY D!CK!"

i actually cant wait to see it again.... i saw it for a staff screening wednesday (apparently before the stars of the movie even got to on Thursday, same with critics), but that was with only staff, but i am friends with the staff and we had a good sized group. that was entertaining as all hell. looking forward to taking some friends with my passes.

the video at the end by Cobra Starship? yea thats a damn good song, im stoked for their album release in October. band is composed of the leadsingers of Midtown, The Academy Is..., The Sounds (that girl), and the rapper from Gym Class Heroes. apparently they might end up leaving their original bands to make Cobra Starship a fulltime gig.
 
i just got back. a lot better than i expected. hilarious at times. the audience reaction where i saw it was good too.

I've even wondered if they're paying people here to start threads... nothing else would explain why this is the 80th or so thread about it.

i tried to keep bumping mine to keep it towards the top, but nobody seems to want to reply to only one thread.. they all see one thread, reply a few times, change subject in the case of mine, and forgot about it, then continue in another thread that was started up.

that and people fail at the search feature... i searched and saw there as no review threads, so i created mine.
 
I had an amazing time. The audience reaction is what sold it - we were hissing, screaming... Shouting.. laughing... It was soooo much fun, the most fun i;'ve had in theaters.. well.. ever... seriously. it's far from the best movie i've seen this year but it was so freaking entertaining
