Snake eats kangaroo

It appears to be too big to fully fit into the snakes body cavity. The legs/tail are still sticking out. That snake will be a sitting duck for however long it takes to digest that things head and upper body enough to stuff the rest of the 'roo inside that snake.

It's a wallaby...

Cousin to the kangaroo, but a LOT smaller. I thought there was something wrong when the OP said a snake was eating a KANGAROO of all things :p

He might have just fallen on the 'roo from somewhere high, stun it (the snakes weigh quite alot), and then choked it (by squashing the rib cage)

The snakes are lethargic all the time needed to digest big prey, no matter if it did fit in their body or not
