SnagIt 7.2.5 for FREE

With all the 'renovations', I didn't notice the 'Free Stuff' forum - that's new isn't it? Nice.

Mods, please move me 🙂

I've been using Snagit for a long time.

Excellent app!

Highly recommended!

A++++++

Would do business with again...😛

Is it better than Vista's snipping tool?

Nope, but it's great for XP users.

I don't have any experience with Vista's snipping tool. Does it allow for 'snipping' of flash video, animations, etc?

From the FW thread, "as far as I know, you can capture anything on the screen whether it be animated, streaming or static." - slythe777

As far as I know it won't capture animation if you're talking about a short movie. It will capture a static image from video though.

And thanks mflacy :thumbsup: I could have installed it to see what it does, but I tend to be a software pack rat. I'll have several programs that do the exact same thing, and I never remember what I used the previous time. The problem with that is I have to relearn something every time I try to do it, so I'm trying to keep my application loads slim, and only download something if it fills a void in my programs.

how is this different than Alt + Print Screen?

Because you can select a regoin on a screen, scroll a window to capture the whole thing in one image, etc.

Snagit Rocks, i have been using it for years. Now if you could only find me a free copy of TechSmith Camtasia.....
