SN95G5 vs EQ3901M

I can only give you my impressions from my SN95G5 version 2 box.

Noise level: Loudest component has to be the video card, as the chipset fan, PS fan, and ICE fan all spin at pretty low RPM's so are bearable. Currently neither XPC Tools nor Speedfan seem to support this model, but when it/they do/does, this thing will be super quiet.

Stability: Version 2 of this Shuttle seems to have ironed out alot of the initial issues, and most are reporting rock stable systems, even when overclocked. Only known issues that come to mind are w/ Maxtor drives w/ 16MB caches, and it being picky about RAM (Corsair, Kingston, PQI, Patriot, OCZ seem to be the popular choices).

Temps: My 3200+ Winchester @ 2.4GHz idles in high 30's, mid 40's under full load. Granted I only have a 9800 Pro (w/ VC-RE cooler) in there, but a higher end video card w/ a decent cooler shouldn't change the temps much. RAM came w/ copper heatsinks, and the HD never gets above 50 celsius.
