SN95G5 Bios Mod

As the first thread in this section states, this area is not for tech support questions.

It's also against the rules to cross list a topic you listed in another area.

Welcome to AT. You'll learn the rules eventually 😉

Good luck with your problem.

if you want to modify the vcore settings for your ram you need to be sure that the VRM's and power planes that are supplying the voltage can go that high. if your hardware cannot do it then you're not going to be able to do it in software. i believe these settings are on the rom on the stick of ram. if you can overwrite the spd settings i believe there's a field that you can reburn to reflect what voltage you would like to run this at. if you cannot do this you can use some type of debug tool to go and change the memory location that bios copies spd info to and change that. if you want to do it through a component on the board, which is what i would recommend, then you need to get a schematic if you don't want to overwrite spd values on every boot. i've done it by flashing spd settings, overriding the memory controller settings in 3rd party chipsets during early post, and hoisting voltage via modifying a feedback resistor or soem other component. whatever's easiest for you provided you have the tools.
