sn85g4v3 - vdimm change makes shuttle not post

Heres my problem, I have a 2x512mb kit of twinmos bh-5 in my sn85g4v3. However I can't take advantage of it because if I change my vdimm to anything except for auto in bios, it won't post. Hard drive spins/cd rom spins and fans spin but it won't post. I have to reset cmos if I change vdimm. If anyone can help me fix this problem thatd be great. I bought this shuttle back in april of this year and I haven't tried to update the bios.
