I've had my sn41g2 for awhile now, and i bought a vantec stealth fan for my heatpipe(80mm) and a 40mm for my psu. I rewired the fan on the PSU so that I can control it on speedfan. But when I rewired, i repaced the 3pin where the northbridge fan went, to plug in the PSU and adapted the 3-pin connecter on the nbridge to 4pin. So I now can monitor the PSU fan but no the nbridge. With speed fan, i set both to 1% and I get good temps...however, my system is MUCH quieter when not using the PSU fan (0%). My PSU temp hovers around 41 when at 0%. Is this acceptable for a PSU? I know CPUs can go up pretty high without fault, but never seen anything about PSU temps.

My next question is the northbridge. I am currently using the on-board video, so this sucker gets pretty hot (to the touch) with no fan under no load. Has anyone used passive on their northbidge with onboard vid? If its gonna get too hot, ill probably just get a entension cable for my nbridge fan and plug it on the empty connector on the other side of the mobo.

What are your opinons?

did you cut out the grill covering hte 80mm fan in the back? that will reduce temperatures by at least 4-5 deg, get some tin snips, or diagonal cutters, cut out the grill, its really soft metal so you should have no problem, then replace the grill with a wire grill that will enable higher flow rate
