I'm stumped.
everything seems to be set up correctly when I go into the IIS control panel under Administrative Services and the service is indeed started. Heck, when I set up outlook to use localhost as the address of it's smtp server, it detects out ok. I try to send email and it says that the mail has been sent. But when I check that particular address, the email doesn't show up. I shut down the service and redid my mail client settings back to my isp, but I'd like to get this working properly. Is this my fault? Or is it the pop server on the other end? Is my computer still trying to send out the email with the service stopped? I really want to stop using my isp's smtp.
