SMP with different steppings?

I have a 366@550 from about a year ago. I just ordered a second 366@550. I'm sure these steppings are not going to be the same. My question is will SMP still work on a dual board? Thanks.
 
Supposedly yes, but it's not recommended. Intel recommends 2 processors of the same stepping.

Hmm....actually, if they are both the same type, ie both Slot 1 or both Socket370, then they will be of the same stepping, as only one stepping has been released for both types.
