SMP boards with space for more than 2

where could i get my hands on multi-proc boards with room for more than 2.

For something like that the cheapest you would be able to do it would be a Quad PII/III xeon board. They are slot 2 and I dont believe I have ever seen one much less that $250, and that was probably for only a dual processor one. Then after the Xeons there is always things like the Sun, Alpha, HP, IBM, ect.. superpower houses that are 10's of thousands of dollars.

Now you have to be careful because that $250 is what I think i saw a stripped down used board for once. You will still need to buy things like VRMs and Possibly even memory riser cards if my memory serves me. Plus you will need a special case because most the of the 4 way are special intel boards. I wanted to do a Quad Xeon II 450/2mb cache once because the chips were so cheap but then I realized how expensive other things would be. Plus only certain programs take advantage of Dual processors let alone Quad. I suggest learning more before you buy anything. Also check pricewatch and ebay. Somtimes you can get decent stuff on ebay.
