SMP Bartons?

Can we build it? Do we have the technology? Will there ever be an Nforce board that can do SMP? 2 2500+ Bartons at 3400+ speeds would be blazingly fast, and would be right up my alley as far as platform needs go. I can't afford an Opteron rig right now or I'd buy one.
 
You can unlock Bartons to become MPs, but I think the chipset has to be specially designed for multi-chip situations. Not sure about MP motherboards though.

EDIT: The Athlon MP market isn't big enough for Nvidia to move back a generation and make another chipset for a nearly dead market.
 
My guess is that AMD won't let them do it. They want everyone to by expensive Opterons. I'm sure the Nforce2 chipset would be more than capable in a dual-processor situation, and the dual-channel memory would finally provide a serious boost to performance. Such a shame...
