Smoothing scratches on my monitor glass

My monitor has some scratches on the left side, they are faint and cause a very minor distortion when vivid colors are underneath. Can anyone help me as to how to smooth it out again? Thanks.

Try rubbing in clear candle wax, then buff with clean soft cloth. May need periodic re-application.

Could the same be done on a TFT?, i have a very very small dent in the lower right of the screen.

Vigorus scrubbing with steel wool, followed by 10-12 minutes with an industrial grinder and you should be all set.

Naw, Steel wool and a belt sander are a monitors best friend.

Wow, ive never seen naiveity on this scale.

To the question: You cant get rid of scratches on a LCD as the panel is made from a material which when scratched leaves an ingrained hole. Its permanent. Crt however can be polished.
