I just left Sam's in Clay, NY and saw they had one boxed Sony WEGA 36FS12 for $639. I purchased the display from them a couple of months ago for the same price but they did not have any others left at that time. Excellent TV, excellent price. Maybe other Sam's got some in. Worth checking. Merry Christmas for somebody!

Are you missing a "1" in the front (like $1,639)? A normal Sony 35" TV will sell for that much. Can someone comfirm?

I have read about this in other posts and got my own 36" RCA PIP for $389 ($250 under their normal price) at a local Sam's in Detroit metro area, which is a decent price, I think. When they have only a couple left, they steeply discount prices. I talked to a manager and he told me they don't want just a couple of anything, so they sell it cheaply.

Just came back from Sams Club in S. Cal. They don't even carry Sony Wega.

My last visit to Sam's club (a week back) revealed 27" AKAI flat screen TVs for $399. Unfortunately, no Sony Wegas were in the store. This was the Sterling, VA. store.

You can definitely find good deals like this. I picked up a 32" Panasonic (CT-32HX40). It's an HDTV Monitor capable of 1080i/480p. DVD's rock on this bad boy. I picked it up for $1000 (regularly $1699) at CC this past June.

So...I believe the post.

You can try the Sams Club web site at the link below under their "click and pull" to check inventory in stores. I checked all in VA and found no Sonys. Not sure though how good their online inventory checker is, I could have swore I saw 27" Wegas at the Woodbridge VA Club, but the online shows none...so either their sold out now or their systems sucks :) anyway here's the link.

Its a session link, so if it doesnt get you in, just choose "click and pull" tab, then search as "Guest"

part number or item number or something that would help more to locate this product in local BM.

Went to the El Monte Sam's Club in SoCal yesterday. Don't recall seeing the Wega at all.
$639 is a killer price.

Hey mrtension how much would it cost to ship the wega from NY to CA? Might still be worth doing if you'd buy it for me I'd reimburse you for everything . . . and hey if the price comes out under a $900 I'd throw in a little extra $$ . . . Or if anyone else is interested drop me a note . . . thanks all

Notice the model# its a FS, which means bottom of the line WEGA, very bottom of the line. TO get a good WEGA u need a a model # with the letters FV or XBR in it.

Also it's most likely last year's model 36fs12. They had them in my sam's club (evanston, IL) for 999 for a long time - but I haven't been in there for a while.

You must be high...any 36" WEGA for $639 is a smokin' deal. The 27" models go for around $550 at most retail outlets!
