Colecovision was an old game machine that competed with atari back in the days of the 2600. Was a great system for its time, but I have no idea why you would want one now. Much less just a controller. BTW the controller was probably the worst part of the machine. It had a very short stubby joy stick with a keypad on it.

Yeah, I had a Colecovision system at one point. It was fun and had games like Dig Dug, Pac Man, etc. That was before the Nintendo started coming out. But to use it NOW? It's a prehistoric system, man. Probably more suitable for an appearance in a museum.

Actually the Colecovision competed with the Atari 5200 if anyone remembers that one. It was one generation over the 2600.

This is only a good deal if you're a collector. I picked up an atari 7800 and a colecovision at a garage sale for $20 (and a huge box of controllers, games, etc) a year ago... I thought, Man! Donkey Kong on my big screen! The novelty wore off in about 30 minutes. Decided that I was better off with MAME. I got 30 for the coleco and 6 games, I gave the atari to a friend's 3 year old (update - 1 year later - kid now has playstation, atari in trash).

Besides you can find these on ebay all the time if you're hardcore.

The only vintage game system I'd even think about nowadays would be a vectrex, but even then, I dunno...

I have a vectrex laying in pieces on my basement floor.... bought it for five bucks and still can't make it work...
$7 for this controller is to much, troll the resale shops (we have a shi*load in Chicago) and you'll find two or three whole systems for around $30...
My dad won us a full size DonkeyKong when I was a kid he had the highest score for a week straight... he's a madman. His favorite was Popeye though. :)

I've seen these things emulated. I'm sure you could fond the emulator and some ROMs if you look around.
